Running Through My Writers Block

Running Through My Writers Block

Tons of things have contributed to my writers block over the last couple of months. I start out the month strong by posting on the blog consistently for a couple of days to a week only to fall off the wagon. I’ve had a ton of personal stuff that I have been going through over the last couple of months, but that isn’t an excuse for neglecting the outlet in my life that helps me so much. So here are a couple of things that I will be changing about the blog to insure that I can keep my commitment to you guys.

For the month of March I will be discontinuing the posts on Mondays. This is to ensure that I can keep my commitment to you guys of posting for the entire month  (Wednesday, Friday and Sundays will be Marchs post days). I am hoping to bring you guys an entire month full of blog posts and education. If the recipes on Mondays were something you looked forward to don't worry - it will be coming back in April bigger and better! We just need some more time to plan and execute that day of the week in order to bring you guys great content.

The second way I plan to help myself keep this commitment is by being proactive. I am going to be carving out a daily writing time for myself. Wither I work on blog posts or just some personal journaling I do need to get back to my roots of writing everyday - for me! When I was in school I always found comfort and a sense of mental peace when I wrote. I’d love to find that place again and be able to accurately communicate with you guys again. It’s been so long since I felt like I was connected to TheTravelingStoner.

Lastly I feel that I have been forcing the flow of the posts. I am going to be focusing more on education and my personal experience with cannabis. I will still be doing event and product reviews as they come, but I would really like to have this outlet be authentic to myself and what I want to represent. For now I believe the best way to do that is to get back to what I know and am good at and know well. Hopefully by not limiting myself to a certain posting schedule it will give me the motivation to stay on track.

I want to thank those of you who have stuck with me through all the craziness and changes! It hasn’t been an easy road, but I wouldn’t change any of what I’ve experienced. Everything has lead me to here. Always remember that everything happens for a reason and that you can do anything you set your mind to. I always thought that was something parents just told their kids to make them feel special but it’s absolutely right. With a little hard work and determination anything is possible.
