BakingAndBakingWithBailey: Italian Dressing Chicken Sandwiches
Hey guys! Thanks for joining me on the first blog post for Baking and Baking with Bailey! I’m really excited to have another platform to share my recipes with you all. Thank you so much to Lindsay for giving me this space. Every Monday, you can look forward to a Baking and Baking with Bailey Recipe! You can see the videos on @toke.tv every Sunday! Those of you who are already acquainted with the series know that it's about getting medicated, cooking food, and having a great time.
But enough self promotion and bullshit- let’s get to the food!
This dish is nothing fancy, but it is something I whipped up in my brain and now we are going to try it for the first time together today! If that isn’t jumping into something new (like this blog) then I don’t know what is!
You will need the following food to make more food:
2 chicken breasts, thawed
1 cup of italian dressing
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tp onion powder
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp thyme
¼ tsp oregano
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
½ cup flour
½ cup panko bread crumbs
¼ cup italian breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
Mix italian dressing and all seasoning together in a bowl. Drop thawed chicken breasts into the mixture and marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator (or longer).
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and heat the oil for frying after marinating.
Put flour in its own dish. Mix two types of breadcrumbs together in their own dish. Put eggs in a third, separate dish and beat the eggs just until mixed.
Cut chicken breast through the middle long ways to split the breast, and then again through the middle to cut into two. This way, you have 8 pieces of chicken.
Dip the chicken breast in flour and coat well. Coat the chicken in the egg wash, and then dip into the bread crumb mix. Repeat for the rest of the chicken breast.
Once oil is hot and chicken is breaded, place chicken in hot oil to fry. Brown the chicken on both sides, then remove from oil and place on a plate with paper towels to drain. Repeat until all chicken breasts have been browned and are prepared.
Place chicken on a greased baking dish in oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until internal meat has reached a temperature of 165 degrees. If desired, you can use a touch of egg olive oil on the exterior of the chicken breading to help with crispiness, but this is not necessary.
You would ideally serve this on hamburger buns or on toasted bread with a side of fries. You can also serve this over pasta with veggies, and consider adding a tomato-alfredo or pesto sauce!
To medicate this meal, simply medicate vegetable oil with your Magical Butter machine, and make your own Italian Dressing! It’s quite simple to do, and tastes amazing. Plus who doesn’t love a medicated salad or sandwich!?
