Whoopi and Maya Launch in Colorado
It has been a week since we all got together at the Metlo to party and celebrate the launching of Whoopi and Maya’s cannabis line here in Colorado. This cannabis line, which is geared towards women and their monthly aches and pains, was originally launched in California over a year ago. Last Thursday a ton of companies, dispensaries, budtenders, patients, influencers, photographers and journalists got together to experience what Whoopi and Maya have brought to Colorado… and boy did they bring it.
Candle lit bags lined the stairs all the way up to the lighted archway and party tent on the roof! Lifting back the flap of the tent and entering you can’t help but to be blown away by the amazing set up. Display shelves everywhere with products and gorgeous flower decorations. A full bar (with multiple attentive bartenders) and an entire buffet of finger foods and desserts. There was a dance floor in the back by the DJs booth and sponsors booths, and just past that was the designated smoking deck. Everybody got to hang out, eat food, and sesh while waiting to walk through the Whoopi and Maya experience.
“Group Purple Eight” was finally called and we were off on our adventure through the Whoopi and Maya experience. The first room featured the product “Soak” which is an infused Epson salt mixture that can also be used as a face scrub or added in to the bath. Lavender Epson salt hand scrubs were given to each person in the group to enhance their experience while being completely submerged in a relaxing environment. The ladies working the event went over the top to make sure that everything went smoothly. The second room showed off “Rub,” which is a salve infused with tons of herbs and oils. The room had pillows in a circle on the floor for us all to be able to apply the salve in a more comfortable position. Everybody began rubbing it onto their bodies and the smell of Amber Moon filled the room and almost immediately brought a calmer tone to the room. The third room was a combination of “Savor” and “Relax”. We were first given a spoon of the “Savor” which is a raw cacao that is packed with vitamins and minerals. There was an entire table of fruits, crackers, and other delicious sides to pair with the cacao. There was also a bar and bartender that was putting together infused drinks with the “relax” tincture. The drinks were light in flavor and didn’t seem to even have a hint of cannabis which made it easy and delicious consume.
Everything about the tour and line just screams luxury and pain free. After the tour we were each given a ticket to take back upstairs and redeem our giftbags! Walking back up into the party we were all given HUGE thank you bags that included a FULL size product of everything being offered in their Colorado line. Not only did we get to submerge ourselves all night in an amazingly upscale event, but we event got to take the products home and do further testing on them! I will admit I have been saving some of the products for my very painful days, however I am excited to see how this line will combat my major pain issues. I will admit that at the start of the evening I was in some discomfort from my ovaries and by the end of the tour I was feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy the evening!
To me it was more than just an honor to be invited to this launch event. Last April I wrote an article about Whoopi and Maya starting the line and it was published on MissMaryJaneCos blog. The article talked about Whoopis beliefs in cannabis and how California would be the first state to get to try these amazing products that she and Maya have so carefully crafted. Being able to see how the line has grown into a different state and the splash that these products are making is more than I can describe. We all got an inside look at how the ideas came about and some real hands on experience with the products. As somebody who has ovarian cysts and suffers a lot from “that time of the month” I can honestly say that it is a blessing to have somebody in our corner.
Wednesday, the 15th of November was the first day of sales in Colorado and boy did it go off with a bang! Medical shops such as Bonfire Cannabis Company, Groundswell Boutique, and Mindful are all carrying the entire line of products and showing their support for the new brand. There is a complete list on the Whoopi and Maya website of the different medical dispensaries that are carrying the line!
I was honestly blown away by everything surrounding the launch! All around the products, people and event was the best I have yet to experience while living in Colorado. Everything about it screamed were here to party and take your pain away! If you are a woman who lives in Colorado and is a medical patient I would HIGHLY recommend getting these products to try. Separately (and combined) these products help to relieve women of the natural feminine issues we face.
